Being daddy's girl
I wrote this song for my beloved dad, Alan Guy, who passed away after battling 14yrs of heart problems. I was 29yrs old. My father was a huge part of my music, encouraging but not pushy. Very rarely a day passes without me thinking of him.
being daddy's girl - Music & Lyrics SL Miller

Chorus
I used to be my daddy girl
But he left me alone to carry on and be strong
Hope you’re there to meet me when I leave this world
I miss being daddy’s girl

Verse 1
I know you’re watching over me
Through trials and tribulations
You’ve seen me through the loves and the losses
Finally, a good man, that you have found for me
Like you, he watches out for me
I miss you so much
Each and every day, the angels came and took you away
My heart broke that day, it hasn’t mended yet
Cause I miss being with you dad

Chorus
I used to be my daddy’s girl
But he left me alone to carry on and be strong
Hope you’re there to meet me when I leave this world
I miss being daddy’s girl

Verse 2
Now this man of mine
Is just like you. A gentle loving person to me
He protects me like you did, and I would like to thank you
Dad for sending him to me
Because of you I wrote this tune
You praised and encouraged me along
I hope the you’re proud, of what I’ve become
And Dad it’s for you I sing this song

Chorus
I used to be my daddy’s girl
But he left me alone to carry on and be strong
Hope you’re there to meet me when I leave this world
I miss being daddy’s girl
I used to be my daddy’s girl
